ABOUT US
East Coast Cricket Club (ECCC) is a local, community sports club, based in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). We are registered with Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks (# 3325362). We are comprised of over 65 players competing in Division 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Halifax Cricket League (HCL), organized by Nova Scotia Cricket Association (NSCA). Our best players also compete in the annual Deonarine Cup Tournament as well as T-10 Tournament organized by NSCA.
Founded in 2019, East Coast Cricket Club has had a strong connection to the local community with a membership base located prominently within HRM. We welcome new members with diversity of skill set, age, and gender. We encourage community members to participate in the club and enjoy the benefits of this sport which we all love.

The club is comprised of approximately 65 playing members and an equivalent non-playing (social or supportive) members. The age of our playing members range from 14 years to 50 years, with more than 50% of our members between the ages of 25-40. Our membership is diverse with regards to ethnicity as well as professional and academic backgrounds. The cricket league in Halifax is currently predominantly male, due to the lack of available infrastructure and available players to develop a female cricket league. However, we have recruited a female cricket player in our club who currently plays for Cricket Canada and is involved with NSCA in developing a female cricket league.
Our primary cricket ground is located at the Halifax Commons on the intersection of Robie and Cogswell Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The ground is a bustling spot for locals who like to enjoy the park and its facilities.
Our games also take place at a new facility provided by HRM at Don Bayers Sports Field in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
